Petiole ca. 1 cm; leaf blade oblong; oblong-elliptic; or sometimes obovate-oblong; 3--20 X 1.2--6 cm; subleathery; abaxially gray-green and glaucous when dry; base rounded to obtuse; apex usually rounded to rarely retuse; lateral veins 10--15 pairs; abaxially elevated; and adaxially slightly elevated or flat. Inflorescences terminal; thyrses; to 6 cm; fulvous tomentose. Sepals broadly triangular; ca. 2 mm. Outer petals broadly ovate; ca. 6 mm; fulvous pubescent; inner petals ovate-oblong; ca. 5 mm; gray-white pubescent. Stamens oblong; connective 3-angular.
